Krisna Hervey, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Hello!

Krisna Hervey, our board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, is the owner and founder of Conscious Change, LLC. As an Oxford native, her Rebel and Charger roots run deep! Krisna graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Mississippi in 2011. In 2015, she received her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Her decade-plus of clinical expertise encompasses a vast array of mental health areas including: the diagnosis and treatment of children and adults with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, sleep behaviors, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. Krisna's specialty in medication management compliments her ability to listen thoroughly, educate compassionately, and advocate fiercely ultimately leading to a more beneficial care plan. She established Conscious Change, LLC in 2020 for these reasons. Tailoring a medication plan suited for specific needs demands a supportive atmosphere with a knowledgeable and invested provider. Prioritizing the education of each client about what they are experiencing is paramount in the journey towards consistent change.

A "feet on the ground" provider, Krisna promotes proactive and preemptive care, especially in her community. She absolutely enjoys candid talks with eager youth at community forums surrounding mental health and navigating the environmental triggers that may make life difficult.

Making a conscious change is undoubtedly a daily, even hourly task. Krisna hopes to positively support her clients through medication management, alleviating some of the uneasiness associated with their struggles.

With you every step of the way!

Dr. Joshua Magruder

After 17 years of practice, Dr. Magruder focuses his evidenced based interventions to help clients reach their potential and goals.

Dr. Magruder began his career in non-profit work with individuals, children, and families at the OPT Training Institute, which focused on individual and family therapy. He transitioned to serving students, faculty, and staff at the University of Mississippi Counseling Center in 2009. During his time there, he lobbied for the rights of the counseling profession on the state and national level. After serving the university as a therapist, he moved to a faculty and advisory role in the University of Mississippi School of Education, where he had the opportunity to teach the next generation of counselors.

Dr. Magruder began private practice in 2018 to share his skills with the Oxford community and to spend more time with the two most important things - his daughter and wife. He was named the Mississippi Licensed Professional Counselor of the year at the same time. He continues to enjoy his time as a therapist, F1 enthusiast, and working to achieve the goal of a successful garden.

The nicest thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side.
